Who We Are
JT (Jersey) Limited and JT (Guernsey) Limited operates the Virtual Work Experience Programme hosted on Learning Pools website.
We provide online career guidance by way of insight into what it might be like to work for us, and learning resources for people, aged 14 years and upwards, based in the Channel Islands, interested in a career with JT.
What Information We Collect
When you register and use the portal, we collect:
Account Information
• Name
• Email address
• Country of residence
• Username and password
Usage Information
• Pages visited
• Resources viewed
• Time spent on the portal
• Device and browser information
• IP address
Communications
If you contact us, we may keep:
• Messages you send
• Support requests
• Feedback and survey responses

• Create and manage your account
• Save your progress and preferences

We process your information based on your Consent
By creating an account and agreeing to this notice, you consent to our use of your
information for the purposes described above.
You may withdraw consent at any time.
Third Party Disclosure
JT may disclose your personal information to members of the JT Group. JT will also
disclose it to our external third party, Learning Pool, for the purpose of creating and
managing your account.
Requests for IT support from Learning Pool for anyone under the age of 16 needs to be raised by a teacher, parent or legal guardian to support@learningpool.com
Cybersecurity Response
We may also work with specialist third party cybersecurity partners, including JCSC, to help us detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats. In the event of a security threat or incident, we may share limited and relevant data, only where necessary, to investigate the threat or incident and protect affected individuals. These actions are taken to maintain the security of our systems and safeguard the interests of our customers and business. We rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis for this type of processing.
Retention of Personal Data
Your account will be live for a period of six months from the start date on your account.
After this time, your account and all of your associated data will be deleted.
Data Security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.
In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents,
contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
